Strategy-to-Outcome

It would appear logical and straightforward, that once an overall strategy has been put to paper, that it would lead to the intended behaviour within every function of the business and result in commercial success. This is, however, not the case - the ‘bit in between’ strategy and success is exceedingly complex and layered. It requires an impartial understanding of processes and incentives within various, distinct functions of the organisation and is rarely achievable by internal players ‘double-hatting’ part time.

Developing a detailed action plan, broken down into separate, executable project streams, and identifying responsible project champions is critical in translating organisational goals into every day behaviours. This, more often than not, goes hand-in-hand with designing a new organisational structure, optimally aligned to delivering commercial success.

Black Bear Strategy has over a decade of experience in drawing up Strategy-to-Outcome plans, within small and large businesses alike.
